Let’s get one thing clear.
Well, more than one thing actually but here’s the main thing: change isn’t easy and it isn’t pretty (that’s why I have the cute kitten over here in a teacup to sugar the pill).
There’s a quote from Art Williams:
“I’m not telling you it’s going to be easy – I’m telling you it’s going to be worth it”.
Change is like that. We ache for more than we’re getting from life, we feel we may be missing something really important (we may even know what that thing is), we may have a brilliant idea simmering away, but it can be much more comfortable to stay right where we are than to try and change things to bring us nearer to our dreams. And the reasons we give ourselves for why we stay exactly where we are are many and varied – and valid (at least to us).
But are they reasons or are they excuses?
What if you had someone there to say ‘Great idea! What’s stopping you?’ or ‘Fab! Let’s make a plan!’? What’s the single biggest thing holding you back from making changes?
See, I told you it wasn’t going to be easy. Even if you suspected that the answer was yourself, you were probably still hoping that there might be someone or something else to blame. I can think of all the things I thought were holding me back from having the life I wanted, but in the end it was all down to me.
If you want someone to ask you the right questions and start you on the journey to your real life, get in touch. We’ll have a virtual cuppa and a good chat – it would be an honour to join you!
Oops, that cup seems to have kitten hairs in it – let me get you another one …
