This website is really all about YOU but my own journey informs how I help you create your best life, so if you’re curious about what brought me here, read on!
Today, I divide my time between the UK and France working with amazing midlife women wherever they are. I love sharing what I’ve learnt – about myself and about what life can be if we have the courage to step into the unknown and create a new future for ourselves – because stepping out of my comfort zone brought me to a place full of passion and adventure that I hadn’t thought possible.
However a few years back things were very different.
I had no idea where I wanted to go
In 2002 I was living in rural glory on the edge of a national park in Wales, which sounds idyllic but the reality was driving 60 miles a day to and from work, often in the rain or snow, doing work which was stressful and financially insecure.
Like lots of us I wasn’t ever exactly sure what I wanted to do; I left school intending to be an illustrator but life took me on some strange twists and turns, not all bad, until I found myself hitting 40 and having an “oh my gosh I’m having an early menopause” crisis.
But when I hit 40 things started to change.
And it wasn’t just my hormones! I decided to take a year off to give myself space to think and did some travelling in the USA and Europe, much of it in an old converted ambulance, and I began to realise that another kind of life was possible.
And then my father died.
He was 67 and had still been working, despite a dream of retirement at 40. This was the final push that propelled me to take a leap in to the unknown.
What I found after taking that leap was a new life in Italy for the next 8 years; on the edge of another beautiful national park, but with no commuting every day, just the space to build my new life and my own business in a way that really worked for me.
Taking these steps can seem seamless in retrospect but at the time figuring things out and going from one step to another seemed like a superhuman feat. I wish I’d had a gentle hand to guide me along the way: a trusted advisor who understood what was going on and could smooth the path as I discovered it.
That’s what I do for women like you today.
I help them create change for a joyful midlife and beyond. I won’t overwhelm or be pushy – I’m your trusted coach along the way of those big life decisions that can make all the difference (but it’s always your call).
Of course, it’s not all about my natural abilities and experience: in the interest of giving my clients the best support possible I’m qualified as a business and life coach and as a NLP practitioner.
